Ocoee First Timer's

Saturday, October 1st, 2016 at TBD

Location: Ocoee River, Tennessee

This event is in the past.

If you have been paddling the Nantahala, Hiwassee or Pigeon River this summer and you think you are ready to test your skills on the Ocoee, this may be the trip for you.

River/Difficulty Description: The Ocoee is a class III/IV river. It is probably 2 steps above the Nantahala and Hiwassee rivers and a step above the Pigeon river in difficulty. If you want to attend this trip as a first timer I would suggest attending the Pigeon river trip in August. It is important to have a solid combat roll on the Ocoee as swims can be long and gear hard to recover, in some cases. With that being said, the Ocoee is a fun river and it has a lot to offer. It is a great place to train and take your skills to the next level. If you think you are ready, we will have a great trip leader and a lot of fun.
